Better Plastics for a Better Future

Expertise

SUPERIOR TOOLING CAPABILITIES

We employ a large team of experienced engineers, including 250 tool design engineers and tooling machinists working in state-of-the-art machine shops with a wide range of press sizes from 50 to 2,500 tons.  Ingenium can engineer tools with 0 - 3 micron accuracy and manufacture plastic parts within 0 - 30 micron tolerances.

Quality

SYSTEMATIC INSPECTION

Ingenium deploys automated camera inspection systems in its production lines.  Quality assurance also systematically samples production runs.  Selected samples undergo manual inspection by engineers using sophisticated test and metrology instruments in dedicated labs.

CERTIFICATIONS

Ingenium has achieved extensive ISO certifications, including:

  • 9001:2001 - Quality management systems

  • 16949 - Quality management systems for automotive production

  • 14001 - Environmental management systems

  • 18001 - Health and safety

  • 13485 - Medical devices

In addition to these ISO certifications, the company has also obtained UL certification.

Scale

LARGE MANUFACTURING BASE

Ingenium operates over 1 million square feet of manufacturing space across our locations. Our factories are equipped with over 600 injection molding machines that support a wide range of press sizes (20 - 1,600 tons) and manufacturing processes, including two-shot molding, insert and over molding, and rapid heating and cooling molding.  Each month, we produce millions of parts for customers around the world.

DIVERSE LOCATIONS

Ingenium understands the importance that customers place on maximizing efficiency while diversifying risk in their supply chains.  Accordingly, we offer flexibility in the choice of manufacturing sites from our megasite in China to major regional manufacturing operations in Thailand and Malaysia.  Whether you are optimizing your China or China + 1 supply chain strategy, Ingenium can support your goals.

PLASTICS++

While Ingenium excels at plastic injection molding, we also offer other value-added services to streamline the number of vendors that customers must engage to satisfy product requirements.  Such capabilities include spray painting, in-mold labeling, laser etching, metal stamping, and product assembly.

Flexibility

UNMATCHED MOLDING EFFICIENCY

Ingenium has accumulated substantial know-how to ensure consistent quality, to achieve rapid cycle times, and to leverage economies of scale.  As a result, our customers enjoy industry-leading total cost of ownership with on time delivery of quality precision parts.

AUTOMATION

Our production lines employ substantial automation, including fully-automated robotic arms, camera inspection systems, vibrating modules, and PLC pick-and-place systems.
